Description

This is a very good condition,
1968 Manolo Leiva
Flamenco Guitar.
This flamenco guitar was made by well known Flamenco Singer Manolo Leiva in Silver Spring, Maryland.
This hand crafted guitar was built using solid Maple for the back and sides, a Mahogany neck and a Spruce top. The headstock cap is Brazilian rosewood.
This is the only Maple Flamenco guitar I have ever come across and it definitely gives the guitar a unique sparkling tone. It's a very musical guitar, meant to stand out and be played along with a singer.
The overall condition of the guitar is very good. The guitar has been restored using instrument grade lacquers. There were two cracks, one on each side of the fretboard. Where were no other cracks of any sort in the guitar.
Scale length on this guitar is 658 millimeters. This scale length gives the instrument excellent power. Nut width is 55.5 millimeters. The ebony fretboard is in good condition. The guitar has just been refretted for easy playing and correct intonation.
Action on the 12th fret low E string is 3.0 millimeters and the 12th fret high E string measures 2.6 millimeters. There is some room left on the saddle for more adjustment, if desired.
The guitar features hand made ebony pegs for tuning, as it originally came.
The signed original label shows that this is a Manolo Leiva, from 1968.
This guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in a good condition hard shell case.
