    Description

Here is a standard work on mineral resources in the US. This is an ex-library reference book, as the photo's show, but otherwise, or despite this history, in good condition. This geological survey from 1973(Donald Probst, paper 820),  is still super useful, as most occurrences described are obviously still in place, so this is a comprehensive work of reference and in effect timeless. I have seen this book offered in a wide array of prices, but obviously this book will be increasingly sparse to find on the market, due to it's age. This book also gives a good impression how a large quantities of information were contained before the internet era, in books like this one! This is a good book for geologists and mineralogists, but also for prospectors who want to have more information to "triangulate" on interesting localities in the US. Even though the book focuses on larger economically interesting occurrences, there is a lot to unpack and learn through this book.
