    Description

LAST ONE!! POPULAR ITEM WHEN I CAN GET ONE
This is USGS Bulletin 1130, "
Geology of the Mount Pinchot Quadrangle, Southern Sierra Nevada, California
", Published in 1963, there can’t be many of these around! This
    152-page book
comes with BOTH OF THE ORIGINAL GEOLOGIC MAPS, one of which is a LARGE FULL COLOR GEOLOGIC MAP!
This work describes the geology of this area west of Independence and south of Bishop. Relief in this area is as much as 10000 feet, and more than half the area lies above 10000 feet elevation!  It is a really interesting area that encompasses diverse geology dominated by granitic intrusive rocks of various types. This area is home to the Division Creek tungsten mines and the
    gold-silver mines
    on Kearsarge Peak.
The large map in this report is honestly one of the most colorful geologic maps I have seen in any report. It would look good framed and hung in a home or business in the area. The report is also very detailed, and with 152 pages, has a lot to say about the area. This is one of the best reports of its type.
