Not 100% sure that the completed item was something BSA made, but it's a nice decorative piece that would make a great addition to any Boy Scout collection. The belt buckle is a 1976 OSR buckle, but I'm not sure if the completed item was done then or later
From my late grandfather's collection. He served as scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 788 in Blue Island, IL from the 50's-60's until the late 70's. My uncle took over soon after. My family was heavily involved in Scouting in general (I became an Eagle Scout about 8 years ago) and accumulated quite the collection.
